Public Report in support of community projects in Constanta sustained by PACT through Community Fund Pontus Euxin In early June 2011, PACT launched Community Fund Pontus Euxin, totaling 32.600 RON, under its management. The Fund was established by selling tickets at the conference-event, held up by actor Dan Puric in Constanta, on November 20th 2010. The event was organized by a group of citizens in Constanta (constituted as an Initiative Group for Community Fund Pontus Euxin), with support from PACT Foundation, in order to attract funds to sustain local community projects. The main purpose of the fund is to stimulate initiative groups and NGOs in Constanta to develop projects that contribute to producing positive changes in different urban communities in the city of Constanta.

PACT Foundation held Wednesday, December 7th, from 19.30 at Café Godot Theatre, a medieval theme party, which is the second fundraising event from private sources for the Community Fund for action and transformation of villages in southern Romania. The total amount collected at this event, of 8754 lei, from selling tickets, "all pay" auction (everyone pays) for special objects donated and classic auction for works of art offered by artists, will be used to support projects initiated by groups of citizens in rural communities in southern Romania.

PACT Foundation won the award for the best reflection of the training activities in the Activity Report

The first Activity Report  of PACT Foundation (2006-2007) was awarded during the festivity of Best Annual Reports elaborated by NGOs in Romania. The award for the best reflection of the training activities was handed over by Ionut Sibian, director of the Civil Society Development Foundation, as an acknowledgement regarding the quality of the training activities developed by the Foundation. Roxana Florescu, PACT consultant and author of the Annual Activity Report, received the award on behalf of PACT team, dedicating this report “to all our beneficiaries, whose lives we have changed”. And in the same spirit, one of PACT beneficiaries was also awarded during the event. Muscel Association for Education and Culture received the award for the best Annual Report, for the small organizations’ category, with a budget under 20 000 euros.

The festivity for “The Best Annual Reports produced by the NGOs in Romania” awards is an event organized by the Donors’ Forum Federation in Romania, starting back in 2002, aiming to encourage a good practice among the non-governmental organizations in Romania - that of using annual reports as instruments for transparency and responsibility. The 7th edition of the festivity took place in Bucharest, at the Tulip Inn Hotel, supported by Petrom SA, and it was presented by Mona Nicolici, CSR Communication Manager Petrom. This year there were 9 categories of awards, as follows - the award for the best report of large, medium and small organizations, the award for the best report of environmental organizations, the best report of corporate organizations, the best reflection of volunteering activity, the best reflection of the training activity, the best reflection of financial management and the award for originality.
