PACT Foundation is organizing a "Blazonry get together for people loving nobility" with medieval theme. This is the second fundraising event from private sources for the Community Fund for action and transformation of villages in southern Romania.
By this Community Fund, PACT Foundation will give initiative groups in the south of the country grants for community projects and start-ups for income generating activities at local level, community business and enterprise initiatives with socio-cultural profile. Projects will be supported from the Community Fund in order to develop a community identity through creative means.
The event will take place Wednesday, December 7th, from 19:30 at Café Godot Theatre from Blanari St., no. 14, Sector 3, Bucharest.
Host the event is well-known actress at the National Theatre in Bucharest, Lamia Beligan, daughter of Master Radu Beligan.
Attending to event, along with business representatives will be partners and donors, rural people with initiative who managed with dedication, passion and enthusiasm to change the community life they live.
Wishing to rebuild Romanian medieval atmosphere, PACT and its friends have prepared a special artistic and cultural program, Performing Art, Commedia dell'arte, coats of arms, and medieval music and dancing. All this - sprinkled with social games, auctions and raffles with prizes, donated items and services provided pro bono by the talented and generous artists and designers, as well as traditional Romanian products prepared with love by the beneficiaries and collaborators of PACT Foundation.

Performing Art - dedicated show created and performed by Adrian George Popescu, Ioana Marchidan, Antoaneta Cojocaru and Adrian Ciobanu;
Journey through Medieval Europe - No'MADS concert;
Vintage Romanian music - Dinu Lipatti National College of Arts;
All pay auction – story objects - and classical Auction - objects of art (jointly with the Alis House).
Since 2003, PACT Foundation team sustained more than 100 initiative groups and small local organizations in southern Romania to carry out ideas for improving the quality of life in their community. People in over 100 cities have received training, consultancy and community facilitation and small funding provided by PACT. In 2011 PACT has financed 17 community projects in Calarasi, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Ialomita, Ilfov and Prahova counties.
From the Community Fund to be starting this year, PACT will fund new projects and initiatives in the coming years. With a maximum funding of 4500 RON from PACT Foundation, plus significant local contribution consisting of volunteer work, materials, donations and sponsorships from companies, community members build playgrounds, drinkable water sources, renovating and revitalizing cultural and touristic objectives, talents and abilities classes organized for children and young people, rounded by inter-generational exchanges, impassable roads repair.
