The first Activity Report of
PACT Foundation (2006-2007) was awarded during the festivity of Best
Annual Reports elaborated by NGOs in Romania. The award for the best
reflection of the training activities was handed over by Ionut Sibian,
director of the Civil Society Development Foundation, as an
acknowledgement regarding the quality of the training activities
developed by the Foundation.

The second edition of
the Conference on Community Development in Romania, entitled „Community
Development and Community Programs in Europe”, took place in Iasi on
the 17th and 18th of October. The event was organized and hosted by
RuralNet - the network of organizations active in the community
development field in the rural environment, which aims to undertake an
active role in influencing public policies concerning rural development
and in promoting best practice models of community development. The
network has been active since 2002 and presently counts 17 member
organizations from all regions of the country.

On the occasion of finalizing the “Participation, Strategy, Democracy”
project, financed through the PHARE 2005 program – Strengthening the
Democracy in Romania, Component 2 – Democracy, Human Rights, Rule of
Law, Independence of Justice and Fight against Corruption, PACT
Foundation and CeRe, the project partner, organized yesterday, October
15th, 2008, at Perinita Restaurant in Craiova, Dolj county, a World
Café addressing “Citizens’ participation in decision making - good
local governance practice”.

Foundation PACT participated in the third edition of the international conference “IASHINGTON”, taking place in Iasist and the 4th of September 2008. The
event was organised by AIESEC – the international platform for
discovering and developing youth potential, the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza”
University and RomPetrol, consisting in interactive sessions,
structured on four different themes: leadership,
entrepreneurship, sustainable development and technology.

project took place between July 3rd and July 6th 2008, at Caciulata
Hotel, in Calimanesti, Valcea county. The project is developed by PACT
Foundation in partnership with the Resource Centre for Public
Participation (CeRe – www.ce-re.ro)
and is funded through the PHARE 2005 program – Strengthening the
Democracy in Romania, Component 2 – Democracy, Human Rights, Rule of
Law, Independence of Justice and Fight against Corruption.

held in Bucharest as an activity of the European project “Fostering
Civil Dialogue in Europe” coordinated by the European Think Tank Pour

PACT Foundation invites you Thursday, September 29th 2011, at Clubul Ţăranului, in Muzeul Ţăranului Român, to meet with “Fiii satului", "Sons of village", from 19.30. It's a cocktail event addressed mainly to business representatives in order to raise funds for rural inhabitants who believe in their power to change their own lives and the communities they belong for the better.
The event will be attended by sons of village, people who supported by us, have changed the community they live in, with business representatives, partners and funders of PACT Foundation and other guests eager to contribute to the development of rural communities in Romania.
